Community Involvement
We are proud to be members of the incredibly supportive Madison-area community and have been lucky enough to have many opportunities to expand our reach beyond our work in the clinic. Please see the organizations below and join us in supporting the members of our community: animals and people alike!

Adopt with Angel’s Wish

Angel’s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization that has been changing lives of cats and humans alike since 2000. The cats in their care come from a variety of situations such as surrenders, Good Samaritans, local TNR volunteers, and shelter overflows. These kitties can be found in Angel’s Wish’s Pet Adoption and Resource Center, in foster homes, and even in the front room of Sauk Point Veterinary Clinic while where they are loved and cared for until they find their furrever homes.
If you are interested in adopting or volunteering, please visit angelswish.org for more information.

Walk with Us for Czar’s Promise

Czar’s Promise was founded in 2013 to raise awareness about cancer in our furry family members and to offer support to families in the area affected by it. Their largest fundraiser each year is the Czar’s Promise Inspiring Hope Walk which allows them to raise funds to give financial aid to those whose canine and feline companions are undergoing cancer treatment as well as to support research of cancer in companion animals and pediatrics. Here at Sauk Point Vet we are lucky to have a member of the board of directors for this compassionate organization on our team, Dr. Laura Oxley-Patterson. Each year, members of our staff get together to participate in the fundraising walk with Team Inconceivables in support of their cause.

Meet Frost, the MPD’s first therapy dog

For the first three years of his life, Frost was trained as a service dog by WAGS (Wisconsin Academy for Graduate Service Dogs) and now he spends his days offering therapy to the officers of Madison with his handler, Officer Brian Vandervest. They are supported by Capital K9s, a volunteer-run organization whose goal is to support and expand the benefits of K9 officers in our community. We here at Sauk Point Veterinary Clinic are proud to have been a part of Frost’s life since puppyhood and are honored to continue providing him with excellent veterinary care for the years to come.

Our Furry Friends Fund

The Furry Friends Fund is Sauk Point Vet’s own fund fueled by the generous donations of our clients. We have used these donations to help those who cannot afford veterinary care as well as to provide care to strays and surrenders brought to us. We are incredibly lucky to have such a compassionate client-base that empower us to better help the people and animals of our community.
Show Support for DAIS

Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS) is a non-profit organization that has been serving in Dane County since 1977. They work in the area to provide community education, support groups, a 24-hour help line, shelter for victims of domestic violence, and much more. Members of the community can donate, volunteer, participate in their annual fundraiser and silent auction, Raise for DAIS, and “Adopt a Family” for the holiday season.
